Charles Sekwalor is a Google-backed serial founder and investor, and one of the world’s best-connected impact entrepreneurs. Through his own ventures and as an advisor to corporations and governments, Charles is committed to driving social and economic change globally via the application of foundational human principles, tech, and diverse talent.

Charles is CEO and Founder of The Continent Group, a family of ventures targeted at transforming the African Continent socially, politically and economically. The Group includes “Movemeback” – an
elite members community and Google-backed “global connector” to Africa. Movemeback serves over 100,000 of the world’s top (1% skilled) African talent, leaders and entrepreneurs from over 170 countries and has enabled over 1000 organisations (Meta, Uber, etc.) to enter, expand or invest in Africa.
The Continent Group is also responsible for the newly launched ‘Continent Fund’ which seeks to become the most prolific center of African sourced capital for African ventures and initiatives driving job creation, cultural export and social change. The group also includes the soon to launch “The
Continent App (TC)” – Africa’s Linkedin; a mobile social professional app enabling African Gen-Z talent to build credible professional identities (for the first time) using content and non-traditional data points in place of CV-style credentials. TC is working to enable Africa’s future 1 billion+ of
young talent to become professionally visible, develop relevant skills and access region-wide and international job markets.

As a part of the cohort of first generation African tech founders, Charles is an active investor primarily focused on startups driving social and economic development in Africa or those exporting African culture, services or IP. He also plays a broad role advising globally renowned commercial
and academic organisations, political leaders and policy makers on all matters related to Africa’s social and economic development, and has delivered talks and seminars at more than fifty of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions, including Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford Universities.
Charles (better known as Chale) is a British-born Ghanaian who built his first business in his teens and subsequently graduated from Imperial College with an Electronic Engineering and Management
Masters. Charles enjoyed a corporate career spanning 10 years across BAE, Accenture, Tesco and finally McKinsey & Company, where as a senior strategy consultant he advised global leaders, boards and heads of state. Charles has led the record-largest transatlantic health and beauty retail
merger and helped shape the UK Government’s Tech City (Silicon Roundabout) strategy in 2011, to build a world-beating global entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is a prolific traveler, avid follower of Formula 1, and is committed to securing West Africa’s first Formula 1 race whilst maintaining his
long-term side ambition to launch his F1 team in early-retirement
