Neveen El Tahri
Chairperson of “138 Pyramids, Delta Inspire & Delta Shield for Investment. Appointed by H.E. the president of the Arab Republic of Egypt to be a Member of the Egyptian Parliament 2021-2026 and member of its Economic committee.
More than 40 years of experience in the business and financial markets. She graduated with an Economics & Political Science bachelor’s degree from Cairo University in 1980, and a diploma in business administration from both Harvard Business School and London Business School.
Neveen El Tahri is an accomplished entrepreneur and corporate leader with extensive experience in banking, investment, and venture capital. As the daughter of a diplomat, she has a multicultural background, having lived and been educated in Panama, Finland, Lebanon, and the United Kingdom. Began her career at Chase National Bank of Egypt (now Commercial International Bank – CIB), Neveen excelled as a corporate banker, ultimately leading the Petroleum, Tourism, and Electronic corporate credit divisions.
In 1994, with the resurgence of the Egyptian Capital Market, she ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing Delta Securities Egypt, one of the country’s first brokerage firms. This initial success led to the creation of ABN AMRO Delta Asset Management in 1997 and Delta Capital Investments in 2006. During her tenure in the investment sector, Neveen successfully formed partnerships with several prominent institutions, including Egyptian American Bank, American Express Bank, and ABN AMRO Bank NV. She served as the country representative for ABN AMRO Bank, later Royal Bank of Scotland from 2001-2014.In 2007, Neveen sold a majority stake in her three founding companies and established Delta Financial Investments, a family holding company dedicated to private equity and venture capital. Her vision was to develop and nurture SMEs and entrepreneurs, guiding them toward listing on Egypt’s SME NILEX Exchange. In early 2012, she successfully exited Delta Financial Investments to a listed private equity firm, Arab Investment Company.
Neveen is passionate about fostering young entrepreneurial talent and established Delta Shield for Investment to focus on startups and early-stage enterprises. This initiative provides seed capital and incubation support to scalable, socially impactful businesses that contribute to job creation. Delta Shield has since evolved, leading to the establishment of two dedicated companies: Delta Inspire for Investment and 138 Pyramids for SME Development, alongside continuing to advise family businesses.
A trailblazer in the Egyptian Capital Market, Neveen has been recognized for her contributions, becoming the first woman elected to the board of the Egyptian Stock Exchange. She has served on numerous public and private sector boards, particularly during their transition and growth phases. She was nominated and won numerous local and international awards including but not limited to: one of the ten awards issued by the Ministry of Investment on International Women’s Day for positively contributed to the investment environment of Egypt. She was awarded Best Businesswoman in Egypt “Corporate Women in Egypt” by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo and nominated by Forbes Middle East magazine as one of the 200 most powerful businesswomen in the Middle East.
